PAULA J. BOWERING
BA, MLIS, MBA, LLB
Lawyer & Notary
I joined the legal profession because of my passions for learning and for contributing to and supporting the flourishing of others. My "whole-person-whole-life" approach is rooted in a commitment to helping people manage the legal issues of their everyday lives. I regard it as a privilege to be a part of my clients’ lives, and I love my work of providing legal services that help people create security and stability through all the changes and challenges of their lives.
I am a general practitioner in the areas of real estate, wills, estate planning, estate administration, life planning in the event of disability or mental incapacity, corporate law and uncontested family law (co-ownership/cohabitation/marriage agreements).
I obtained my law degree from the University of Alberta and clerked with the Provincial Court of Alberta. I articled with the Attorney General of British Columbia, and worked with the Attorney General of Alberta and the Alberta Law Reform Institute before going into private practice.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, I had successful and rewarding careers in journalism, librarianship and management. My qualifications also include Bachelor of Arts in English, a Master of Library and Information Studies, and a Master of Business Administration.
